לפני שהצטרפתי ל-.A.A קרה לעתים קרובות שלא חשבתי, אלא הגבתי לאנשים ולמצבים. כאשר לא הגבתי, פעלתי בצורה מכנית. לאחר שהצטרפתי ל-.A.A התחלתי לחפש הדרכה יומית מכוח גדול ממני ולמדתי להקשיב להדרכה זאת. אז התחלתי לקבל החלטות ולפעול על פיהן, במקום רק להגיב. התוצאות היו חיוביות – איני מתיר עוד לאחרים להחליט בשבילי, ואז לבקר אותי בשל כך.
Today—and every day—with a heart full of gratitude, and a desire for God’s will to be done through me, my life is worth sharing, especially with my fellow alcoholics! Above all, if I do not make a religion out of anything, even A.A., then I can be an open channel for God’s expression.
